Hello to all your foreigners across the bridge, hope all is well in the land of fog and rain?

Do any of you happen to know if there is going to be an RS day at Pembrey again this year?

Me and the mrs really enjoyed getting out on track at the last one so were hoping it would be an annual thing but there wasnt one last year, so just wondered if it was a one off only or if there were plans to repeat it?

Seemed quite busy so would have thought it managed to make money for the RS club so hopefully it will happen again

 

i dont think they'll go back there again as they had nothing but problems with the circuit owners and pretty sure they made next to nothing for the club, shame realy as it's a cracking venue for a show/trackday.

Chip, chip boy, we had sun today! (1st time in a while mind). Whats all this about trouble with the circuit? Never seems to be a problem for racing/rallying. There's always Llandow?

 

the circuit is fine its the people who run it thats got the problems.
Llandow is ok for a small circuit but not a lot of room there for a show plus its
dearer to hire than pembrey lol.

 

Where else is there that could be used?

 

we aint got a lot of choice for a track in south wales steve, plenty of fields
for a static show though lol

come to singleton park mate.

 

Ye track wise there an't much in Wales, other than the 2 mentioned there's Anglesey, and thats it I think, a few dissused airfileds mind, but I don't think they'd make suitable tracks (poor quality roads etc)

 

Llandow is a bit pikey, pembrey is a much better circuit IMHO

Shame if there is an issue with the people running it though, from a punters point of view the RS day there was really good.

 

What about epynt? (I'm joking here, or am I?)

 

Will try steve. May be off on holiday later on now so may be able to make it. What if we organised a show for pembrey?! lol

 

It would make a fuckin good track day lol

 

i'd love to steve but its 4k to hire the circuit for the day and i know the agro that
the rsoc had off the circuit owners had with their show, we will be looking into 1 in
the future though.

was thinking about a static show at margam parc to start off with
like the rsoc show that used to be there a few years ago.

 

Shame it was a one off as I really enjoyed the track too. They do have a boy racer show down there where you can go on track but not my cup of tea! The only thing that spoilt the Rs day for me was the little people in 205's who thought they were f1 drivers and owned the track!
