Default Bulb & Tyre Advice

Hi not posted in a while busy with work etc and also had a bit of a change around car wise. My missus now as my focus and i've got my self a IS200 (i know not a Ford but i still have one in the household).

Anyway im looking to change the headlight bulbs on both cars soon just looking to see what brands make people find are the best. I do a lot of driving on dark unlit roads as that is my daily commute too and from work.

Also will soon be needing some more tyres currently have Bridgestone Potenzas which so far have been ok. Are there any others worth considering.

Thanks

ALL halogen bulbs are shit, without exception.

Ebay HID kids seem a good idea, but blind everyone else in the world becuase the reflector design is all wrong.

The proper answer is a retrofit HID projector but its a decent wee diy project. Google retrofit hid or go to hidplanet.com.

Tyres:

hankook K107 S1 Evo
Uniroyal Rainsport
Goodyear Eagle
Kumho KU31 ecsta sport

Are all models Ive used in the past and would use again.

Another vote for uniroyal rainsports or the kuhmos. Not rating the hankook evo v12s on the back of the cossie at the mo, not a patch on tge kuhmos and ive done 2mm of tread in a tank of fuel, thats just with 2nd gear, no launches, donuts or burnouts

Thinking I might stick with the Potenzas tyre wise then.

With the HIDs how would it affect me MOT wise?
