Default New Mondeo ST?

Anyone got any news on new mondeo St or performance car?

I live next to Dunton Ford technical centre and on my way out this morning in front of me was the new aston lookalike mondeo estate that said titanium on german plates and LHD, nothing out of the ordinary, but next to the Titanuim in the muck someone had writen "LOL" in big letters!
Through the tinted rear window i could see the cross bars of a rollcage, at that point i got my crackberry out (but the pic was rubbish, will post it anyway.)
The lights went green and fuck me, this mondeo took off so quick with such a 5 pot roar and pop on every gearchange i heard, 3 in total, also sounded like a DSG style box how it changed, before it turned off into Ford, i noticed the huge rims and all gaps gaffer taped up, single centre exit tailpipe and tow eye screwed in with red "Tow" sticker above it.

Also had HUGE front disks behind the HUGE rims, black Recaro CS style seats, very low bodykit front splitter, centre exit exhaust

Any ideas peeps, cant find owt on google etc.

I want one

Sean.

The 'Titanium' model is the replacement for ST in the MK4 (As well as being faster than it's V6 powered predecessor, it also is more powerful), so I should think this will be the same model line up for the MK5.

The MK5 looks like an Aston from the front and no doubt there will be a Titanium, very surprised if it has the Volvo 5 pot though (Unlike it's predecessor) as Ford has now dropped this in favor of smaller 4 pots, incidentally fact Ford no longer have any ties with Volvo.

For example both the Current Focus ST and the next Focus RS have 4 pots.

They may have continued the ST/MK2 FRS (Volvo 5 pot) from it's predecessor in the MK5 I guess, although it seems strange, as sadly, it's no longer in the Ford world

Could be anything, even a 3 pot!!

Quote from FRS thread;
" Ford has now developed active noise cancellation and synthesis for the upcoming Mondeo, so the RS could get a tailored synthetic sound anyway.

the front of the car was new mondeo, not new focus, unless this car i saw that said mondeo titanium (lol) on the back with new mondeo front end is infact the new focus that will be launched after this new focus, i guess its possible.

If I was thinking about buying a new Focus ST, then I'd definitely go for the Estate version rather than the 5dr version with the melted rear lights.

It probably had those badges put on for a laugh and 'LOL' written in the dirt because it looks a lot like the current Mondeo Estate does:

Cheers,
Grant
