hi ive got a tddi mondeo that feels like its clogged up and holding back, im going to remove egr and clean but what sort of job is it to remove inlet to clean?

 

It's easy to remove, and not hard to clean, but it is VERY messy! Get a load of carb cleaner or similar, and a LOT of rags/kitchen roll.

It might be worth replacing the rubber manifold gaskets while it's off, unless they're in very good condition. They aren't expensive.

 

Change the diesel filter too, if you have not as that can cause holding back

 

thanks for replys, its had a diesel filter when it was last serviced, the car was owned by my father for 7 years before me and he only plodded rounds so its goin to be caked in shit
