personally i would fill it to about 3/4 full with diesel so that it can slosh around and mix together when driving

it should be fine with just £10 worth a petrol in , if anything it will clean the fuel lines and injectors out

if he worried about it then run it until the 3/4 tank of mixed is gone then change the filter as all the crap in the lines will be trapped in the filter

he will probably find it starts and runs a bit better too ! , diesel additives are essential petroleum based anyway !

up to 10% petrol and you down't have to worry at all! £10 won't get you more than about 7.5 litres so fill it up to the brim with derv and you should be fine just don't run it flat out and keep an eye on the temp! the up side is you wont have any cold starting problems!!!!!

If my old diesel can stomach 75% cooking oil your dads motor can stomach £10 of unleaded. Fill the rest of the tank up with diesel, then as time goes on continue to add to it with diesel. Should run a dream too.

He said its been ok, bit spluttery when first starting but ok once warmed up.

I advised him to change the fuel filter once hes ran it for a bit and all the unleadeds gone.

Thanks
