Angry Funkin Insurance!

Got rid of my car due to the cost to get it fixed and to run it. Been insured since June and i want to cancel the insurance policy. They want £115 to cancel!! Apparently have to pay for the extras i added in full if i cancel it! Well pissed off! Anybody else ever had this? When ive cancelled policies before they just ended it.

Don't know what extras you added, but if the insurer paid another firm up front for a year's supply on your behalf and then allowed you to pay monthly for these services as part of your payment to them, why shouldn't you pay the outstanding amounts?

Paying monthly is in a way a loan on a 12 month policy. As Iain said many policies are via brokers etc and have paid for you in full already.

Its crap like but pretty much anything to do with insurance is infuriating

its usually a credit like agreement with insurance these days, as said above your insurer will have paid a 3rd party up front.
or possibly not and theyre just scamming you.

Count yourself lucky mate. If I was only spending £250 a month I'd be well chuffed. I do that in petrol alone each month

Tell me about it, £250 on a month insurance is more than what I pay to insure 3 cars for a year
