Default boot spoiler any good ?

im looking at this but wondering if will give any actual downforce or just for looks ?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/UNIVERSAL-...item3a68f18f82

if not wheres best to get one sensible price, doesnt have to look pretty just need some rear downforce on the kit car as im 100% certain the arse is gonna get mega light above 100 mph.

Are there no tried and tested ones about? Be difficult to know without having the car in a wind tunnel? Aerodynamics might mean the spoiler will barely give any effect, then again, it might make the world of difference.*

*all of the above will probably all be proved to be bullshit, I'm just speculating.

It looks a bit like a Halfords special tbh, I doubt that will provide any down force!

It has actually got me thinking as Rod does not have anything fancy downforce wise on his car? That said the car already has pretty good aerodynamics to start with.

The fact its advertised as a universal jobbie would put me off because it could be fantastic for one car but utter shite for another, if I was you I would get one specifically designed for your specific car.

after reading this

http://www.torquecars.com/tuning/spo...rodynamics.php

i think im gonna bid on 1 coming up on ebay, the 1 in the add looks identical to what im looking at and in theory looking at it should provide some downforce above 70 mph.
