Hi all, hope someone can help.
Got a ST cosworth about a month ago with standard engine with no mods, it was running ok on the way home boosting to 1 bar then upto 1.3bar on overboost.

Since then I have had a full service and new timing belt and ina tensonier,
when the garage did the cam belt they said the crank sensor gap was way to big so they set it to 0.8mm as the book says.

Now the car starts fine and runs ok when you feather the throttle upto boost but the boost is not stopping at the 1.0bar limit and when you push the throttle right down it goes past the boost limit of 1.3 bar and missfires.
any ideas guys

Sounds like the pipe is off to the actuator.

 

Had this happen on lots of STs and RSs, it will be a faults boost control solonoid. It down behind the front RH wheel on turbo.

 

Thanks just looked and pipe was loose
at work so i'll drive it later.

Pipe back on and has fixed boost problem , still have a intermitent missfire at high boost/rpm have checked coil packs/leads and had new plugs in, any ideas
