Anyone from Aberdeen remember the yellow Q plated escort that went about Aberdeen for years , haven't seen it in about 2 years, used to park of George street think the guy that owned it has a mk1 focus rs too, just wandered if it was still about or lurking in a lock up feeling sorry and needing a new owner?!

Never seen the one at knockhill, the one I'm on about had black wheels on it, it's just a car I remember from years ago that I'd like to try and find out where it is these days, been looking for a cheapish series two to do up for the wife so she has something to drive to the shows with me in the 3 door

 

My mate bought it a few months for 600 quid and broke it up, was completely rotten, hes kept the engine to put in his mk2 fez

I know the gut that had it before him aswell. Another Paul. Very nearly bought it myself about 2yrs ago for Ł750 tax and tested but wasn't too keen on the fact that the roof was completely fucked. I used to valet it about 10 yrs ago when an Asian guy had it and was scrap back then aswell

Bit of advice for your mate tho. As far as I know the head is fucked and thats why it's been off the road for a while so I would pull that engine apart before putting it in a car just to make sure it's been fixed

 

yeah it was my mate chris who bought it, he used to work at overton aswell.

 

It had a shit load of new bits on it but I think paul just got sick of it and bought a subaru

That's why I wanted it chop, used to be a heap of fast rs turbos up here, few and far between these days

I seen it on piston heads a couple of years back for 1k if my memory is correct! Used to love going up to the beach in Aberdeen about 10 years ago and seeing all the rs turbos and cossies tearing it up!

 

the cruising at the beach is slowly starting to die!

was out 2 weekends ago and it was dead!

 

Beach is shit now, altons industrial estate or badentoy park industrial estate is where all the action is these days!
