I think so yes as EFI XR3i's and Orion's had them, if your fitting standalone management then no.

Ive got my orion running OFAC and the fuel comp reads half of what the cars doing, its the fuel usage sender in the ecu that double reading... giving the fuel comp the wrong reading and telling me its doing 15mpg when its 30 etc!

Also Mike, whats your spec?

Yeah i imagine the Kjet on a Golf would get confused as they never made a turbo'd K-jet Golf, whereas converting the Orion to MFi Turbo uses the Escort RS Turbo KE-Jet sensors for the fuel comp and it reads fine...

Its just the EFi Orions/XR3i's i never seen with a working fuel comp!

thats what i do anyway, and to be fair rogeyboy it does get to zero on the comp before i run out of juice, its about 20 mile out it does my head in to be fair and dont trust it lol.

as for spec im running 1.8 zvh, 285 cam, standard pistons (light skim),
ported and polished head,gen ford frst head gasket,grp A head bolts,beige injectors,stg3 t3 hybrid,10psi,colins actuator,
small turbo esc cos map sensor,ofac+stg2 chip, mongoose zaust,
big front mount cooler,406 turbo fuel pump, hks digital boost controller,
and a couple of cometic gaskets here and there for good measure.

plus 300mm stoppers for good measure.

cheers mike

Sounds like a nice motor mike, Im on OFAC myself and having problems with the beiges and stage 2 chip. What make is your chip?. Where did you source your Escos MAP Sensor?

What sort of power does it produce?

mines a tiny bit lumpy on idle but by that i mean a tiny bit, i got the map sensor off ebay when my ofac one was on its way out i only paid Ł20 for it and it works fine as i think the small turbo cossie uses a similar ecu.

as for bhp i have no idea as ive never had it on the rollers but it goes well, i speced and built and set up the engine my self that includes a rebuild on the turbo by that i dont mean a shitty seal kit but 360 bearing new garret core garret bearings etc etc.
plus with having loads of bits and bobs from previous cars i built the zvh (minus turbo) for about Ł150 its been in for 3 yrs now and no problems yet lol

when i get a bit more time ill get some better pics up as the one in my profile was taken yrs ago.

cheers mike
