Is the Mondeo ST220 engine a replacement for the ST200 or are there other parts that will need changing, like the Controller, sensors any information gratefully received.

 

The ST220 is a 3.0 (Duratec 30) whilst the ST200 is a 2.5 (Duratec 25). Essentially the same, but larger. What are you trying to do?

 

My ST200 Has big ends gone, so I am thinking about fitting an ST220 which apparently has some refinements to the sump that help protect the possibility of oil starvation and less likely to big end trouble.
Plus, I am more likely to find a good 220 engine than a 200 that may be on it's way out.

 

Are you planning on swapping the entire engine over then, or interchanging parts between the two engines?
