Default Running Without an Amal Valve, Question?

Quick question for people who might know,

I've recently bought a car, which is running a gt30 & autronic management, i'm currently getting things ready to put it on the road next weekend & while having a quick poke around things at the weekend noticed that it wasn't running an amal valve, and wondered if i should worry?
The pipe that comes from the actuator is tee'd into the pipe that comes off the snail of the turbo, then both pipes are just vented to atmosphere.

I know these are usually routed to the amal valve, but on this they obviously aren't, does anyone know the reason for this? Are these pipes actually taking a reference pressure from atmosphere etc?

The cars booked in for a set-up in a couple of weeks, but i obviously don't want to drive it if this is going to do it harm.

thanks in advance for any input.

Yes dosen't sound right, with the Amal you have three ports, R,C,A, one pipe comes from the Compressor housing to the Amal and another from the valve to the actuator, the third is the bleed pipe which vents to atmosphere (Or to airbox which most don't have)

The thing that "tees" then together isn't a bleed valve you are referring to is it?

the amal valve is a boost control valve there are many other ways of doing this air injectors for example, using autronic it might be using some other way to control boost.

Thanks for the responses guys, seems odd to me, but as said, not to sure how the autronic does things? so we'll see.

The car is booked in for a health check at MA Developments in a couple of weeks time anyway, so it should get cleared up then, but was wondering if anyone on here had any ideas.
The car isn't really going to get used before then either other than a few miles out in the sun if there is any by then?.

Any more input on this though is always welcome.

Cheers

However it's controlled the end result is the same, I.E it has to be able to open the wastegate via the actuator, as I say are you sure it's not a bleed valve?

Couldn't see a bleed valve anywhere the other day.

But have contacted the previous owner and he tells me that the boost is controlled by the autronic, hence no amal valve.

As said, its booked in for a health check anyway, so i'm sure all will become clear then.

Thanks all.
