No. 2wd pump is a gravity fed pump that lives outside the tank . You could feed that standard lift pump straight into the gravity one though, which would be okay for around 300bhp .

is it case of a bit of fuel hose from existing pump to 2wd one, then 2wd one to normal fuel line?

what about the fuel return??

The fuel return would be as is, you're just adding the gravity pump into the system, that gives it the required flow you are after. Nothing else changes.

I had this set up on my Escort running 400bhp (lift pump feed direct into 044 gravity pump). I only changed the lift pump to feed in to a swirl pot before hand, when I fitted the eight 803s...

It would be best to give it a seperate power supply with it's own relay etc...

mike, would i still go via the fuse box for the existing pump?? have an inline fuse and what else would the relay go to? switched ignition?

The Escort Cossie has seperate relays for the fuel pump that are not in the fuse box, so it is easy. However, just use your common sense and make sure it is correctly fused and wired up to an ignition live as the OE item.
