None of those mentioned are actual Laser JAMMERS though.
If you're after a jammer, they are illegal.
We have one on one of the cars, but I couldn't tell you if it works properly, as:
a) It was on there when we bought the car.
b) We've never been caught by a laser

Toe Knee,
It is bad news as most of the lazer speed traps
(usually installed in a van) are "Instant On" devices
As you said, that gives the driver too little time to react
as it sends the lazer beam to record your speed only
when the opperator presses the button. Within a second
your speed is recorded/logged together with a pic of car/reg plate.
Even more worrying, I noticed that in Weston S-M they now have
vans working AT NIGHT (i.e. in normal street lighting). So they
must be using low light cameras, and of course
much harder to see or notice these vans at night

laser jammers are technically illegal.. in that they pervert the course of justice!
If you dont want to get caught by mobile camera vans just remove your front number plate.. chances are you wont get stopped with it off anyway.. i havent in nearly a Year
if they do stop you.. its gonna be a case of sorry ocifer i didnt relise... they will giove you a 'get it fixed' producer and all is well

Police statement:
"There are two other types of devices that we are seeking to ban. The first is the jammers. These devices prevent cameras from working by deflecting the beam issued by the camera equipment or preventing the beam from emitting. They are particularly dangerous in that they prevent speed enforcement cameras from operating and therefore allowing drivers to continue to speed past the camera site. Also contained within this definition are those sprays, materials, etc that obstruct the view of a number plate.
"We are also seeking to ban the carriage of radar detectors. These identify where cameras are by sending out a radar beam that detects the signal emitted by the camera equipment. There are two problems with these -
They can set off non-camera equipment such as automatic doors and may interfere with satellite TV
More importantly, the police have genuine concerns about the use of detectors. In addition to camera deployment within the safety camera cost recovery scheme the police also undertake covert activity and speed limit enforcement as part of their normal traffic duties. The fact that these devices can detect both covert camera activity and non-camera/cost recovery laser/radar guns could seriously effect their ability to enforce speed limits as part of their normal traffic duties."

ok road angel 2 dont detect radar at all !!!!!, it does detect laser though
, the problem is most of the mobile camera are actually radar NOT laser
, hence why the road angels dont have as many false alarms as all there are is a laser detector ( man with gun on brigde in 3 counties in britain as the rest are radar now
)
the radar jammer is what ya want not a laser jammer !!!!, but fook knows where ya get one from
if ya got sat nav in ya car or on a PDA then theres a website with all the locations of the fixed camera points and the tempory cameras( ie mobile cameras there refer too as not the 1 day a month jobys but road works and camera sites there for a few weeks
), you record them in ya PDA/ sat nav as a point of interest and thats free and no subscribtion
i had a road angel 2 and tbh i thought it was ok BUT it goes off on motorways informing ya of cameras on local roads
, that means ya doing 100 and then yab get tiold on the M1 theres a camera coming up when there aint, the snooper S4 neo ( again does laser and GPS but can also have a laser detecter bought after the purchanse to allow that aswell) that has a mode where you can choose all normal road cameras OR motorway cameras OR all cameras, when on the motorway mode when ya drop ya speed below 70mph it asks if ya wanna go back to city mode too so ya dont forget
also the S4 neo matches the clocks dispaly and coclour scheme where the road angel is a blue screen that stands out
there bot good systems but the road angel2 i didnt like the false alarmsso i got rid of it for a S4 neo
the down side to the neo its a single infomation screen, as in it tells ya ya speed OR the time OR if a camera is aproching, the road angel2 is muliple information screen, tells ya where a camera is comming up and the distance from you via a bar graph, the time and the speed ya doing all the time
i still like my S4 though
the S5 is a fooking good radar detector thats seperate and is very very efective and one of the best ive ever used, shame about the false alams though ( as it also picks up bus stops aswell not just sainsburys ect
) im gonna be biuying a s5 radar detector as well as keeping me S4neo and thats a legal combination

no deffo rader, im sure of it, all the speed cameras and mobile speed traps are radar !!!!!
laser was just used for the hand held nicking people of yesteryear
now they got a camera on bridges with radar that clocks ya speed as soon as it hits the front of ya car
, so soon as ya detect it on ya radar detector they already got ya, you just know for sure ya been done
, unless ya get scater off another car which the s5 seems to oick up very very well, shame about as soon as they see a cossie coming up they will automaticly aim the camera at ya as they know by the zorst ect that ya speeding otherwise why have a cossie
what i got told though is always stay in the inside lane as long as poss rather than stay on the out side lane as ya gonna be over taking as they can only film that set lane ans they usually do the out side or the middle, if ya constantly swopping when over talking and get straight in the inside lane then pop out again then ya chances are reduced ( but not taken away though by any means
)
also the cop cars pick up the lane there in too when nicking ya for speeding so if there behind ya get out there way big time !!!!, the cant tell the speed of the other lanes unless ya in there lane
, so agian the constant lane swopping helps

"Laser: Now the most popular mobile method of entrapment as laser is so good.
Typical uses of laser include motorway bridges, van's at the side of the road with the back doors facing you or open, tripod mounted or handheld.
Laser can operate at a mile to a mile and a half and if very accurate and very fast.
Officer records your speed, numberplate automatically within a few seconds."

It's the OTHER way round
They are still using RADAR for FIXED sites (Gatso's)
But investing in LASER technology for all non fixed sites - VANS/tripod mounted, over m/way bridges etc.....
I will try and find a link to a site that will confirm......

They do not effect the polices ability to enforce the limits they just reduce the amount of cash they are making as people have a chance to slow down before being screwed over under the road safety myth
I have a detector and will continue to use it

If you look at the flexability of the latest laser speed detection
systems, you can why they would be unlikely to invest in "old school"
radar:

the specs below:We got no fu**ing chance
Range Measurement: Operational Distance 9 - 999.9 metres
Accuracy: +- 10cm
Acquisition Time: 0.3 seconds
Targeting: Beam Width 3 milliradians
Sight Adjustable illuminated red dot sight & in-scope data display
AutoCapture: Retry triggering
Also, quoted from one of the above links:
01 - Does the camera work at night or in the dark?
Yes. We have the capability to operate in poor light and in
the dark. The camera has a low-level flash in order to illuminate
the number plate. This flash is no more powerful than a car
headlight. All fixed site cameras have a built-in flash that
operates day and night

getting back to the original question.
jammers are for lazer.you get a chance to slow as when they are targeted they beep beep to warn you to slow.cop gets ********* on his read out.this give you time to slow, unit then switchs off to avoid detection ,he takes a second reading and gets you hopfully with in the limit.
if your the only car on the road he will probally know its you jammin but if there are other car he wont know who did it.
one type over here is sold as a garage door opener and has a handy side effect of blocker lazer.you will need to prove you have elec garage doors if brought to court tho

The ones you need are called an LRC100 or the newer one!!! They jam for 5 seconds whilst sounding an alarm....
The idea is that once you hear the alarm you safely brake to below the the speed limit
(within 5 seconds!!) and then the unit stops jamming after 5 the 5 secs and lets the copper get a reading!!
With recent things I've heard though, if you have one of these and you get zapped, the best thing to do is whip off the jammer when you get home, for a couple of weeks......
The people who have been done with these on were blatently taking the piss i.e. speeding through traps some 16 times.... By which time the cops got a bit suspicious and decided to have a look at the motor, and found the jammer!!

I had a jammer on the cossie when i 1st bought it , fookin superb things . coppers might aswell be pointing a potato at you
. if you get one and drive past a copper with a laser gun , wind down the window and shout POTATO at him . i allways wanted to do it but never got the chance

would know who it is. Those garage door openers seem good. just dangle an old loom from your garage door and tell em it just packed up.
Both those last 2 ideas may have worked in the past. But the Police are NOT stupid. They know the real score nowadays
bit like then charging ever ready when the bat goes dead in there camera
