Default 1.8 xflow

As above did they make one as standard. It's just my dad is looking in to buying a kit car which the guy is saying it cones with a 1.8 xflow standard. Which we both find strange as you only see 1.6 xflows any info would be great
Cheers

There is a version of the later x flow based on the 711M, called the AX made in south africa, it is basically a thicker walled block, that can be taken out easily to 1825cc, with oversize pistons, with stroking around 2000cc is available using a modified datsun crank.
On true x flow 711 blocks 1760cc(pistons only) was regarded as a safe limit, this may be what the advertiser means ?

Agree with tabetha the only x-flows i have come across are 16 bored out to 1740-1760 at a push but this is towards the xtreme end of the engine especially for drivability........this is more suited to track days than town driving.

It is possible to get 1800cc on a 711m block, but bloody expensive, not personally seen it done, but know it has been done, by stroking as well as boring.

What's the letter after the engine number 711?

I had an 1840cc crossflow. But as above, generally only up to (under) 1800cc is possible on the 711 block.
