Hello mate, is it to go in a sierra?

if so im just waiting for the insurance to write off my 3dr zetec turbo.

i will have a big spec engine for sale as soon as the insurance is sorted.

basically i want 4k for the complete engine/inlet/ex manifold/turbo/ecu.

was mapped to 397bhp/386lbft but needed a few more bits and it should easily make 450bhp.

pm me if interested and ill go through the full spec.

Dan

You would NEVER get 350hp out of a zetec in NA form, simply not going to happen !

Fudgeys engine would be a good one to go for though

most i have heard from a zetec N/A was 305bhp and that had 'everything' done and as for turbo buy a focus rs engine with a few tweaks your there.

2l 16v.

Its on throttle bodies and good for 250hp as it is with a rev limit of 9k plus.

I know people that turbo them in dead stock form and see close to 400hp from them in this country, figures exceeding 600/700hp are quoted on stock engines abroad.

It comes with a 6 speed box, fully dry sumped the lot.

Its a proper engine and in comparison to the Vauxhall or Zetec is personally a MUCH better engine.

Its up for 5k but I will take £4250 for it, but no lower, its a 7k package and the tb's and dry sump are unused and were over £3000 on their own.

I agree with the above, been out in an XE powered Mk2 Escort on twin 45s and few other bits and been out in a Mk1 Cortina with a S2000 VTEC engine; MUCH preferred the way the Cortina went. Felt even quicker than it was and revved to high heaven.

100% defo the way I would go if I was to build anything N/A and the above is a good deal. Just did a feature on a Mk2 Escort being built with an S2000 engine that is on throttle bodies and dry sumped and he spent a LOT more than being asked above.

Thanks Si, I'm a Vauxhall man really but I sold my Vauxhall parts to fund that engine knowing it was a better FAR more reliable package

TBH I hear from people that the SR20 isn't as strong as you think, stronger than the CA but has its own problems so a few are now converting over to using the RB25 engine

well, it was only mapped and then done 50 miles, and it was perfect for lasting that long lol.

i guess it may be a good investment to have it sent off and get a 360 degree bearing etc fitted. but for £260, its almost a consumable item. if it lasted as long as a set of tyres, i would have been happy lol.

actual build quality seems pretty good. cant see anything wrong with it.

so say they dont like big boost, mine was making 28psi but had very little use.
