Default Ronnie Amis

Now iv became good mates with Ron over the last few years going along to help out with Time Attack ect and iv been racking my brains to try to get some more money in the kitty from sponsors ect and seeing as he done as well as he did, with a bit more power im sure he would do much much better. A new engine was on the card for this year but i think with the hard times everyone is feeling that probably wont happen now unless we can find some $$$ to help fund it

Dose anyone have any ideas of a sponsor/company ect who would be interested in coming aboard?

Thanks for your time

Sponsorship is an absolute nightmare to get in the current climate Doug, anyone who does have any money in their budget will be looking for the maximum possible exposure for their investment even more so than usual so you have got to try an find someone who could possibly benefit from advertising in that series...... difficult to find right now

plus the fact Ronnie has a major sponsor all over the car makes it less apertising for other companies to join in as its selfish they all want exsposer ! he needs to enter a limo then space would be less of a issue

You're talking a MASSIVE amount when it comes to sponsorship in Motorsport!

Majority of sponsors on race cars these days (in clubman anyway) are peoples own companies!

Besides, majority of the time cash doesn't even change hands, just tends to be a few parts or consumables dependant on the sponsor of course.

more like 4k tbh doug ! i know airtek have put a lot his way but its a new season so they must either committ more or down size the vynils on the car and get room to sell get 3 or 4 race part companies in at Ł500 a pop you are nearly there . The issue is tho mate as you know i dont like sugar coating its time attack all you need is a sprint licence its not fully msa approved so alot of companies dont see it as a proper race series BUT i will try in the newyear

did you try some of the ones i said to ?

I recon its quite do able for 2K mate as Matt Lewis is on board but he cant afford to give the big parts away understandably lol

Alan @ airtek had been a diamond and put his hand in his pocket ALOT, bearing in mind a full set of tyres is 800 odd quid and has had around 3 sets plus all entry fees ect and what ever else, that dose mount to quite alot just there

cheers everyone, cheers doug i love you too lol

the reason i turned danny down as nice as hes offer was is that i have used joe GSmotosport for the last 9 years and don't have any reason to use any body else.

alan at airtec has helped me out massivly financially and is doing more this year.

i'm just waiting for that winning lottery ticket to come

Even if you did go with the dark side my offer of continued race coverage in the mag still stands if that helps with sponsorship!

I would give him 450+ hp and torque to match mate all built from his own engine and imo would be reliable at that power too..

I do see it from rons point of view though as it would put him in a predicament!!

cheers danny

Didn't Will Pedley flog his arse off (at his own expense) helping Ronnie as trackside support at most of this season's Time Attack meetings?

Where was his thanks and where did all of his sponsorship stickers go?

If thats been done at Wills expense then that is bullshit. No ones time and effort is free, especially in Motorsport.

FROM WHAT I AM AWARE.......

Will has provided Ronnie with trackside support for as many Time Attack meetings as possible for free simply so Will could get his name out there and get some advertising space on Ronnie's car. The when's, how's and why's I'm not privvy to but I haven't seen a single photo of Ronnie's car with a Will Pedley Racing sticker on it anywhere at all yet I know Will's put himself out beyond what could be considered to be reasonable to help Ronnie.

If I'm wrong on particular points then I'm welcome to be corrected but I don't think I'm a million miles away from what could be deemed as fact. I know Will's travelled around the country helping and I know he's done it at his own expense yet on both this thread and Ronnie's studio shots thread there's been fuck all mentioned of Will's efforts to support Ronnie this year.

here is the first pic in my Ronnie folder

Yes Will has attended races and he has been brilliant and when Ron did wright ups after every race Will got his fair share of thank yous so im not quite sure what you are getting at? From my point of view Ron needs to do what he can to get the best results he can! and that offer from Danny above is what id be going for as that would be just what he needs imo.

Not sure if will is about for next year or what but dont you think Ron needs to get the best support/equipment he can if he wants better results?

not a dig at anyone BTW just how i see it!

I love the way some people can't help but stir the shite only to be shut up by a couple of photos

Seriously thou, what business is it of you lot to be saying things like this on the internet when the whole sponsorship issue is between Ronni and Will?

I wish people would keep their noses out of peoples business, and stop bad mouthing people on the internet. I'm sure if Will and Ronni need to discuss this they would have already done so by now.

Just to build a picture for the knock hill round we picked Will up and sorted his accomodation out so we did do our best to reduce his costs.

I really do think Willis is big enough and old enough to decide such things..

Not like a gun was held to his head - " YOU WILL HELP"

I think Will did it for the LOVE, for the EXPERIENCE and most of all the KRISPY KREMES Top guy for doing it too.. as not many others would!...

Look at the results TEAM RONNI got this year... Everyone pulled together for that, for one simple reason because they wanted to.
