Default Mk2 Fiesta 1.1 With Mk1 Xr2 Engine

Hey all, my brother has just had a new arrival so he is selling his pride and joy. He will be after a estate car or family car so he may be interested in a swap but you can take it up with him. The car is reg as a 1.1 so insurance is cheap aswell as tax. Not sure how much MOT & TAX but if you phone he can tell you more about it. The car is stripped out with 2 erst recaro front seats & blue harnesses. Has xr2 steering wheel. Has been converted to xr2 engine (xflow not cvh) and was rebuilt by myself 550 miles ago so been run in. Piston rings had gone so replaced those and all new bearings done with acl bearings. Full new gasket set. It has bcf3 racing cam, very lumpy but does go well. Breather system. Running 2 litre modified carb with pipercross filter. Full ashley exhaust system including 4-2-1. Has 1.1 gearbox but all been uprated to take extra grunt. Proposed power output is 140-150bhp but dont have a print out. Also bored out to 1740 (furthest you can bore this engine out?) Lowering 40-50mm. Body work has few dings marks but he can explain better. Comes with sub. His mobile number is 07759641055 so if you want to phone or text to find out more please feel free to do so.

good little car mate but its not 140/150bhp on that carb... they dont make anything over 120bhp unless they are on 45 sidedrafts..... and plus the car would be a few grand if it was ....

a 150bhp crossflow which is only safe to bore to 1740 if its a rwd 711 block would need to be all steel custom built jobbie on at least 45s..... and would cost 5k just for head and block so its not if the car is Ł800

but its still a cheap toy thats proberly 100bhp at a push

Gotta agree with rsmark, nice little car for the money, but its not going to be 140bhp, 100bhp max. But I expect it does go well in a stripped out fiesta!

as i said its a cheap fun track toy but to build a 150bhp crossflow you need at least 5k for head and block then another 3k on ancilarys plus its a rwd block so dont fit....

but for 800 i would buy this and whack a set of 40s on it and should see 110/120bhp

thanks for comments guys, guy that sold him engine told him it was this power, am hopeless with these engines so couldnt tell you what you need. I had 150 bhp zetec mk3 fiesta and was neck and neck with this till higher up gears where I started pulling it is a quick little car he will be sad to see it go.

even with 100bhp it would chase a 150bhp mk3 mate i bet its a hoot to drive...

may even think of this for a little track toy
