There cheap and shiiiiiiit ! I'm with them, as is the Mrs. Lorry hit her while she was stationary, they refused to collect the car so she had to drive it all fucked to the garage, then they refused to look at the car properly or the road, then some how fucked the claim so my girl friend had to accept liability. Took em to court in the end.

If u can afford to or actually have a car ud want to get a pay out on (ie not a Shit box) is go with some one else.

Lee.

I've never had an issue with them, been with them a number of years and dealt with their claims handling department.

It all depends on circumstances.

Im with them aswell. They seem to offer quotes for a few hundred less than any other insurance provider. Never had any problems with them and there customer service team are very helpful. If she is renewing negotiate a discount, i done this and saved £75 on the original quote they gave me.

Quite surprised by the negative comments about Admiral - I've used them a few times in the past without any problem. Whenever I ever phoned them to query something they were always really helpful.

I used Admiral for our second car last year. Just transferred over to them for my main car (the Omega) because they were the cheapest.

Problem i've found with them is that the prices are absolutely amazing when you first take the policy out. However, when you change cars during the policy the prices start to get ridiculous. Not only do they have an admin charge on, but they inflate the price to a stupid level. I changed from a 16v Astra 1.6 to an 8v Astra 1.6 (which cost more to insure) to a 1.8 Volvo V40 (a lot less to insure) to a 1.6 Volvo S40 which was more to insure than the 1.8?

If you intend to stay with the one car (or maybe one change throughout the year) then fair enough, but stay away if you change regularly.

Also, when you buy, you get an English call centre - to make amendments its always abroad and the line is always terrible, i've found...

Hmm very surprising - I've phoned them at least 4 times since June this year and always got through to someone UK based immediately, and they were very helpful.

i've been with them for a few years, no probs, seems hit or miss who answers the phone though, i believe they have a call centre in wales, america and somewhere else. but when talking to the uk centre they have always been very helpful and cheapest for me with a multi car policy, when i had a claim they were very good really.

delt with them years and years ago, they didn't pay out for an accident when someone reversed into me claiming that i hadn't told them that i was the main driver when the policy was in my name

took 6 months to get the claim sorted and then the garage they used sprayed the car wrong, the rear quarter was a different shade of white to the bumper, the boot lid was different as was the roof and they fucked the spoiler

lost count of the number of times i took it back to them and eventually i changed companies and then they were writing me letters along the lines of "you do realise that it's illeagl to drive with no insurance and we would be doing our duty to inform the police" etc when i refused to renew with them

total shower of shit
