Default Fitting gear stick to cossie gearbox.

Just a quick one, if i fit the gearbox to my 3 door can i fit the gearstick afterwards or does the section where it bolts on not stick up high enough above the transmission tunnel to access the bolts? I want to fit the box but i dont have a gearstick yet and my manual says to bolt and unbolt the stick when the box is lowered whilst fitting or removing it. Dont want to have to take the box back out just to bolt the gearstick on!

With the cossie 2wd box it is best to put the gear box in but don't bolt up the mount as this leaves enough room to get the two 13mm headed bolts to connect the gear lever

if it's just the stick with the two bolts securing that you mean you can do that when the box is bolted up

It's only the clearance of the tunnel I was concerned about as I don't have the centre console fitted, should have been a bit clearer in my original post really.
