Default T34 Turbo - .63 cool / .63 hot

Anyone used this config for the T34? If so how laggy is it? I have this setup for my Mk1 Cortina Cossie 4x4 but not sure if she will be too laggy.

laggy compared to what?

t34.63 will make 400hp on the right spec - its an awesome road car set up.

t34.63, ab07 inlet, siemens 55lbs injectors, and a decent chip such as MSD, 2.2bar of boost would see 400hp. be careful of the standard 4x4 gearbox thou, anything beyond 400/400 is a lottery

On a STD engine to push 400 out of a t34 is asking a little too much and they don't like holding 2.2 bar at high revs, I spike of 2.2 is good but they are Time bombs at that boost iirc mike rain bird done a few t34's pushing over 400 bhp

The .48 is better for a road car IMHO though loose 20 or so hp for more response

What about the bottom end? Its been lightened and balanced but standard pistons and con rod bolts.

I'm after reliability as the car is more of a street sleeper than track / 1/4 mile dragster.

STD engine bottom end is fine but a uprated head gasket is advisable something like a 0611/grp a gasket

Yip got a grp A on her.

Set up is;

0.75 overbore (lighten & balanced cranks, rods, flyweel)
T34 .63 / .63
3 bar MAP
Greens
Pro Alloy 50mm RS500 I/cooler
MSD chip to match above.

What do you think she will put out? Was hoping 350bhp.

your limiting factor is greens, it will piss 350 if the greens dont max out; you dont want to go over 80% duty ideally.

if you want to get the best of the spec then yes; but you'll need a new chip.

May stick with the greens for now as the chip I have matches the kit. You know what like......I'll probably upgrade to light blues and remap after a few weeks!

Could always go greys, or as said blues.
T34.48 make a awsome road car around 380 bhp, same as CR turbos used to run in his sapphy, T3/34 makes pick up a little earlier still.

It really is just great its as punchy as the greens but they just pull hard to the limiter !
