Default whats its worth

Hiya, i was wondering if someone can help me, ive got a 1990 2wd magenta cosworth, the engine let go lasted month, the shells in good condition, with a cloth trim, its still mot'd. My question is what is it worth with no engine and is it wirth me saving and buying another engine and selling it. Can someone give me rough guide prices for both, ie what i can expect to get for it.

cheers steve

Think one went on ebay for Ł2,500 a couple of weeks back mate... engine was out of that altogether... so maybe Ł3,000 or so as is I would guess as you must have all the ancilliaries... depending on shell and history for some folks.

i agree, i was going to buy a really nice crystal blue 2wd with a t34 etc for Ł2900... tax and mot and running spot on.

Ive seen rolling shells go for 3k but when they had a engine and box in they were a Ł6+k car....

Depends over all condition and damage really, get pics up!

not worth a great deal IMO; a decent engine will cost you 2k - get some pics up.
depends on where you are i might have a buyer for it if your interested in selling it

what someone wants and what someones willing to pay are 2 different things.you see cossies on ebay for 6k sure, but check completed listings and they have been on twice and arent selling.i would break the car depending on spec and condition of parts.
