Default E46 M3 owners - car insurance

Just want a rough indication of what you guys are paying?

Obviously it massively varies based on loads of variables, but want to know if anyone has any recommendations where they've recieved a reasonable quote....

i know this is NOT the question you've asked, but never know it might be useful.

on an E36 M3 (higher risk) mine was 1300 @ 23 w/ no convictions 1100 @ 24 w/no convictions and 1500 @ 26 w/10points

so i'd expect yours to be well under a grand

Adrian Flux just starting doing "deals" on M cars, it was posted on piston heads M power forum the other day. Again, NOT an M3 (sorry) but E39 M5, £380 fully comp, 7 years NCB, clean licence, I'm 30 years old. Got from a company called 1st Central through compare the market.

Beauty. I'm with them for my evo and still hanker for an m3. I wondered if the m3 would be more but maybe not tbh.

I'm with Adrian Flux, not garaged (private parking), used to commute, no limited mileage, 29 years old - Under £500, can't remember the exact amount, something like £465 or something.

Can't give me a sensible quote as I haven't owned a high performance vehicle in the past 12 months!!!

Rich, have you tried calling Pace Ward?

I was paying around £600 with them when I had mine.

Pace Ward 01782 286311 may be worth a shot bud.

Most of these places wont quote!

They want garaged and tracker....

Pace Ward say no, Kwik Fit is £1400, online searches are over 1k, and Flux is a no!

So much for 8 years no claims, and living in a nice area in London!

Insurance companies really, really hate M3's, they are the new Cosworth in that respect. Probably due to fucking idiot chavs who have no clue about RWD cars smashing them up on a regular basis, and a very high theft rate ... Seems to happen to most really good cars

when you actually think about it, its a hell of a lot of BHP for a standard car, insurance is never going to be buttons.

the performance car ownership seems to work with a few places, my first years insurance on my impreza was 1300 quid as 325 bmw was "really" a performance car, after that i now pay 600 a year all mods ( and there is a few pmsl) declared and my postcode may aswell be Iraq

pon im sure your postcode is a high claim area more than if its a nice area if that makes sence

m3 is such a more comfyer car than an evo chop and still got the performance when you need it.

I really didnt like my FQ, thought it was far too plasticy and uncomfortable, actually prefer the STI M3, Or M5

I still hanker for the m3 but chose the evo to px the focus away. Dont get me wrong i really like the evo, what a weapon! Plasticy doesnt bother me. I wouldn't say it was uncomfortable. To me the seats are the bollocks!

I'm fed up of modded cars tbh and almost considered sacking the evo and just getting a cheap 172.

All i want in life is a ferrari! But the cossie and evo would only pull me back £22k. Need to save another 15k and finance 15k and im happy

When i get to that point my daily driver can be ANYTHING lol
