Default Whats the best front discs and pads to buy for a 4x4

need new ones so thought i would ask, i no there are a lot of differences in pads but is there a big gain in using drilled and groved discs? , only ask cause the drilled ones on there seem to get clogged up with brake dust anyway, so just after the best makes really and prices if any one nos
cheers

drilled and grooved do work better ... the drilled holes are to vent gasses under heavy braking the groves scrape the pads to remove any glazed layer and should help to stop the holes clogging up...
should use slightly harder material in the pads as the normal ones will be alot softer and break up easier...

Try ebc discs pads (yellow pads) or ferrodo 2500 pads

Yellowstuff would get my vote, failing that red stuff, both work far better from cold than the ds range, and I've used all.
The holes will clog up, but as more dust is taken from pads this pushes out existing dust in the holes.
Tbh I use el cheapo discs, drill them and then change them when needed, but I would suggest just grooved or grooved and dimpled would be far better for road use.
If you add braided lines to whatever brakes you use there is a noticeable improvement, I take the anti rattle shim that is glued on the rear of the pads off, and still have 100% zero noise at all times.
