Yellowstuff would get my vote, failing that red stuff, both work far better from cold than the ds range, and I've used all.
The holes will clog up, but as more dust is taken from pads this pushes out existing dust in the holes.
Tbh I use el cheapo discs, drill them and then change them when needed, but I would suggest just grooved or grooved and dimpled would be far better for road use.
If you add braided lines to whatever brakes you use there is a noticeable improvement, I take the anti rattle shim that is glued on the rear of the pads off, and still have 100% zero noise at all times.
