phase 1 pahse 2 whats the difference??
No such thing as phase 1 and 2 lol, basically a few issues that occurred with early models, seat base sagged so they were double stitched on later car's a pink throttle cable gromet was fitted and a few other little things like that. So your car has all the problems solved.
If your's is a late 53 it'll prob be "phase 2" although not all late models had the changes, i have early seats in mine and they haven't sagged yet. Best bit of advice don't wear jeans as it ruin's the alcantara! Mines bobbled. Lol the dealer you bought it from could tell you what "phase" it is.
They'll love you over on the rsoc if you start on about phase 1 & 2 lol
There isn't really any such thing to be honest, as there weren't enough changes to warrant calling them phase 1/2, but as well as the points already mentioned the later cars had a different map (af), which is renowned for a having what they call an 'af cough' where they have a slight misfire at 4k. It's not a major problem though, and if you remap the car will sort that out.
I've only had mine a month or so and it's an awesome car, handles brilliantly for a fwd car and with a few mods they go ok too

not entirely true
any car that went back to ford would have had the af map flashed whether it be an early or late model.so you can have early models with the af map but you wouldnt find a later model with the ae map, also remapping them with dreamscience/bluefin doesnt remove the af cough, you need the ae map flashed to remove that, guys on the rsoc can do the ae plus tuna remap

There is no such thing as Phase 1 & Phase 2.
I think it was the magazine "EVO" that first came out with it in a buying guide!
If you were to go with the differences during the build there would be Phase 1 to about Phase 10!!!!
