the wifes laptop wont boot, i've tried booting in safe mode and from a vista repair disc etc and it just wont boot up so we need someone to look at it.

has anyone got a recommendation of anywhere, ie a company that collects, inspects and delivers back? Dont want to use PC worl or the like if I can help it.

A friends laptop recently has these symptoms, and it turned out to be the hard drive screwed.

Do you get some white text on the screen, and it wont go any further? i forget what the message was now

 

Check the local papers and stuff, loads of small companies will do it. It could be anything, obviously it COULD be the HDD, but it could also be a software, memory, CPU, anything
