check out the detailing section for more info but I have just bought:
Black hole glaze
Natty's paste/wax
Black hole quick detailer spray
VERY VERY easy on and off, far easier than AG and doesn't leave white residue in stone chips as it is dark in colour.
You can build it up in layers to deepen the shine over time and between detailing session the quick detailing spray is a nice quick way to put some shine on the car after you have given it a wash.
I bought the kit from polishedbliss for around £50 including applicator pads and microfibre cloths.

rins rinse the car, shampoo, rinse again and towel dry.
Apply black hole glaze just like polish and buff off.
Apply wax like you would a polish but leave for 2- 24 hours to cure (depending if you in a garage or not) and then buff off.
Apply the quick detailer, mist it on and wipe it off keeping you cloth dry as you do this, use multiple cloths.
Ideally clay bar the car after washing but before polishing as this will remove all the grime that is burried in your paint (it will be there) and will prevent you dragging this grime around the paint as you polish creating more swirls.
By hand it will alsways be harder to remove swirls, black hole does a nice job of masking them, but you would need a machine polisher to really get the paint like glass.
this was my motor after the above

If you want to keep it looking good, washing technique is the first most important part imo
Get your self a lambs wool mitt and a couple of buckets and a decent drying towel,if you can afford it get a pw and a snowfoam lance the less you touch the dirt the better
Then a good wax on the paint and a good wheel sealant will keep it protected
