If you want to keep it looking good,washing technique is the first most important part imo
Get your self a lambs wool mitt and a couple of buckets and a decent drying towel,if you can afford it get a pw and a snowfoam lance the less you touch the dirt the better
Then a good wax on the paint and a good wheel sealant will keep it protected
