Default Any1 know how 2 get past banned websites on work network?

hello all, i work offshore & they have banned allot of sites from their internet, also u cannot view any pics on this website & others as photobucket is a banned site.

i used 2 use www.ninjacloak.com as its a secret way into looking at pics etc.... as it hides ip address, proxy server etc.... (was able 2 view hotmail aswell)

today they have just banned ninjacloak!!!!!!!!!!!!!

any1 know of any other weblinks to get past this??????? ive been told there is a few but i dont know what they are?????

cheers

Will ninjacloak work on school computers? BAstards keep banning genuinely useful sites because of "questionable" content. usually it's nothing worse than an advert advertising online gambling when that site os blocked anyway.

Takes the piss...

Not sure about using stuff like that at work though, they can sack you, all they can do at school is tell me off Can't block me from the web, need it for revision sites.

Can't be THAT desparate for a wank, surley?

Take a rucksack full of vintage grot mags in, if times are hard.

Least you stand a chance of keeping your job.

you need another CGI proxy, just google them.. but to be fair if they have twigged that your using them they will be googling for them aswell and blocking all of them...

you need a friend who hosts websites to set one up with a discreet name thus to avoid intelligent blocking.

Try www.proxify.com (no so well known so will probably not be blocked)

Works very well on chat boards. I advise suscribing as they limit bandwidth otherwise.

All done via HTTPS so its pretty secure from remote line monitoring in most cases.

They give you many ways of access so if they block the site name or IP address there are hundreds of other ways in !

However, if your network has VNC (or equivilant) installed, they can still capture your screen image so be carefull...

Be careful, as any request you make to an external proxy will of course be logged against your user account on the local proxy (assuming you have to log on) so it would make things very easy for them if they wanted to get rid of you.

That is the correct address to use so it must be blocked !

Try these alternatives until one works

https://proxify.co.uk/

http://208.116.57.203

http://0xD0.0x74.0x39.0xCB

As this is a HTTPS proxy (secure) that uses session managment, no one can go back and see what you have been doing !
(secure once you get on the site but not before !)

The problem is with them not seeing what he is doing, they will just know he is doing something he shouldnt be, but not what.
Which means potentially they might think he is doing something far worse than he actually is!

Hmmm.. Interesting thread...

I work in IT security and we run regular audits to check for repeated attempts at "proxy avoidance" (what you're trying to do) and issue these reports on a monthly basis to department heads.

IT staff generally view proxy avoidance as worse than porn due to the fact it is a pre-meditated attempt to bypass the security mechanisms for unknown purposes.

As per a few of the posts above, you WILL get caught & if your company are looking for an excuse to lose staff you are giving them an excuse - most organisations view this as gross misconduct.

Maybe an iPhone would be better?

Very true but it is my opinion IT people only see these bypasses as an attack at their skills to prevent such actions and hate the ego bruising !

A company I worked for a few years ago have such one spotty little geek who thought he was better than me but after a few years of cat and mouse proxies chases etc...I kicked his ass proper and he never knew how.
I did build a radio transmitter into his keyboard and knew all his passwords as he typed them

FYI, once you have joined the proxify service above, they litterally have hundreds of IP/DOMAINS/PIGGYBACKS/PORT redirections that will never link back to a known proxy site and infact are finding new and discarding old ones every day.. its very clever and has never failed me !

You got it right.

If they blocked it, chances that they are looking at your surfing habits!

Which do you value more - keeping your job or trying to bypass it?

Do any internet sites work for you ? I assume this one does ?

It could be you have network problems/issues rather than being blocked !

They still can trace you. If you stay in your room, using your laptop and plugged to their network on the wall, they can trace it to the specific room and match it up with your MAC address.

Set up a forwarding on your hotmail account to another account (i.e. GMail or whatever e-mail platform are allowed)

I work in the local secondary school and the internet is provided by an external company, they have different security policies and the default one which students use is locked down.
but only locked down due to monitoring and statistics, if a student picks up a new proxy which isnt blocked all of a sudden my school's 'most surfed to website' becomes said proxy, then this really starts to multiply as their mates start to use it.

I was told they can predict and watch the trend as the proxy makes its way around the different schools in the town and surrounding areas.

Kinda glad I dont have to block stuff manually, it would be a fully time job in itself. Ofcourse I have the most relaxed policy on my machine so I dont care about anyone else LOL

I would get yourself a pay as you go mobile broadband dongle. Bypassing your company's internet proxy will probably not get you a promotion when hurled into the bosses office and wanting an explanation. Most company / school internet lockdowns are to stop viruses and spyware getting onto the network so why question it. I can't get on facebook on the pc's at work so I use my phone via the company wireless
