I am getting more and more pissed off with my broadband speed with sky and the HD box is starting to play up, so thought i might switch to virgin.

whats your thoughts?

 

I've had Virgin + and 50 meg BB for ages. Never had any problem with it.

I believe you don't get as many HD channels with V+. However you can record two channels at once and watch another one live.

 

Virgin net and sky HD tv its the only way to do it

 

Sky have just bought VMTV and part of the terms of the deal are for virgin customers to get the sky hd channels which will be movies and sports aswell as sky 1 etc..

Not sure on the timescales though

 

Mate has virgin hd, box is laggy as fook, press a button then go make a cup of tea while it thinks about changing channel. Menus etc are not as nice to use as sky either.

Phone them up telling them you are going to cancel unless they out it right!

 

Your mates V+ box sounds fucked. Mine is proper quick, got a V+ Samsung box.

 

I know I have told him it can't be right. He's been on to virgin a couple of times about it and they say there's nothing wrong with it. So besides paying for another box himself, not a lot he can do about it.

 

The samsung boxes are faster. I have the hd package and it does annoy me that I can't get sky sports in hd but if that's changing then all good. As for virgin media broadband, if you want fast internet there is no other choice. Up to 20 meg or 20 meg spot on, it's like 2 bar boost sir or between 0.3 bar and 1.8 bar depending on how busy your turbo is lol

 

i have virgin hd and have no drama`s with it.

Got V+ HD here too with 10 mb broadband that actually runs at 10mb. No problems.

You'll get 41 HD channels with Sky and only 25 with Virgin iirc.... (if you get the full package etc)

if you just want the Broadband just get that with no phone line.. Quick as fook and lightening quick! I would have virgin if i didn't live in the country
