1998 focus 1.8 zetec Help Me Please
Could anyone help me and tell me were the resistor pack is located on a 1998 focus 1.8 16v zetec engine.... i have looked behind the glove box and i have not located it.....please can anyone help.....

Taken from a different thread, sorry I was thinking about the Climate control version which is what my old car had, they didnt have resistor packs, so I wasn't lying to you, just got confused with a different model.....
All the speed control is on the ground side of the blower motor, the ground connection goes to the switch.

its known for the switch itself to fail so no ground is available to the resistor pack (1-3) or the motor direct (4).
The only different heater/resistor I know of is for the digital EATC version. No resistor and electronic control of blower speed.

I think you need a Licence of some sort just to handle the refrigerant gas, so even with the tools and knowhow, it would be a pain in the ass. Plus, according to someone on here it only cost's about 40quid, and at that price I wouldn't even consider faffing on (if I gave a crap about having a/c).
How can you tell that a resister pack is blow any way.... i have pulled out mines and there is no sign of burning....can they be tested= How..... and could someone tell me the best way to remove blower switch and test blower switch...
thanks everyone for your help,
