Tonight I picked up a cheap set of 16" mondeo alloy wheels. Has anyone got any pics with there s2 on these wheels to give me an idea also what size tyres would you fit.

Ideal m8 you have been after a set for a while!!! what you doing with your standard rims????

 

Ive got 3 spare ones sat in my garage if anyone needs one. They're painted moondust silver and not been fitted since being painted.

Be aware anyone buying these sort of wheels that there is 2 different widths, 6.5j or 7j

 

Where is that marked on the wheel so I can check what i've got?

 

On the hub part under where the center cap goes, will be 6.5j or 7j should say on there in embossed lettering.

Also most of the RS Accessory wheels (7J) come in different offsets, mostly ET42. If you find a set that are ET35 7J they are rare! Wish I hadn't sold mine so cheap now

 

the 3 i have are the 6.5j ones but not sure about the offset. I had a set of 7j ones once and its surprising how much more dished they look.

 

Mine look like they are 6j with a et40 does that mean they are of a escort gti

 

escort gti 1s were 15" wheels iirc

 

yeah thats right, escort gti ones are 15inch, mondeo zetec ones are 16inch by 6.5 wide, then rs accessory ones were 7inch wide.
