Advantages of using a coil pack instead of a Distributor?
As above on a cossie managed rs turbo

you can use a biger plug gap / better idle / you do away with things that brake down ie dizzy cap/ rotory arm / dizzy

Cost me about £45 from the scrapyard for the Vauxhall coil pack.

My car when built had only 1 bit of the original Rover wiring loom in it.
It was this bit of the loom that turned out to be faulty not the actual coil pack.
It soon ended up in the bin and a new loom made by MEFmotorsport and has performed without a single fault since
