Default Tips for removing fuel filter

Mine is serioulsy stuck at both ends having already soaked it in WD40 a few times.
Has anyone got any tips to remove the banjo bolts? Will be replacing it anyway so not bothered if I damage it lol. Have just thought about using either mole grips or oil filter rench on the can itself and then brute force with the spanner in the other hand.
Unless anyone has any better ideas??

Chances are the banjo's will be fucked too mate and never seal again, so just cut them as you'll need new fuel pipes anyway.

Man up abit and just put a bit of effort in to it, be a good idea to replace the copper washers but you can re-use although not ideal. There should be no reason to replace the banjos or fuel lines if they are in good codition to start with.

Theres usually a hexagon bit on one end cant you get a spanner on that and use abit of brute force i dont think youd be able to get a good enough purchase on it with a pair of mole grips

Aye brute force is the normal tactic but I tend to break things that way and I dont want to rip the mounting bracket out.

The pipe to the metering unit does have a kink though that I tried to straighten and I bent one of the ends at No 1 injector so may just have to buy the braided ones at some point.

Any recommended suppliers other than;

Don't attempt to undo it while its in the mount/holder, just take it out and get someone to hold it if its slipping out of the spanners. If you've a kink in the pipe do get it changed asap, not worth the risk.

Ditto. with the pressure MFI runs under its not worth the breakdown for the sake of another tenner.

what this man said ends this conversation. Why would you need to cut anything or destroy anything.

Sort it out.

Because they rust on after however many years of people not changing them Jano.
Like I said if they are that corroded (that they wont come undone) then the banjo's even with new washers will not seal anyway!
The hex on the filter may as well be made of butter and will chew if they are too tight making it even harder to get them undone, and they guy has a kink in his fuel pipe.....

Its not hard to run abit of emery paper over the banjo though, new washers job done.
If the fuel lines kinked its scrap any way ive just bought a braided steel one off ebay for Ł18 people of here wanted more than that for the plastic one and the braid looks so much better
