Because they rust on after however many years of people not changing them Jano.
Like I said if they are that corroded (that they wont come undone) then the banjo's even with new washers will not seal anyway!
The hex on the filter may as well be made of butter and will chew if they are too tight making it even harder to get them undone, and they guy has a kink in his fuel pipe.....
