new they're about £600 delivered.
get one upgraded from a turbo centre would be about the same cost.
or just get a 2wd cossie one and stick it on your escort exhaust housing, better still a 4wd cossie turbo.

Call http://www.crturbos.co.uk/upgrades.php or http://www.turbotechnics.com/turbo/s152.htm buying a second hand turbo could be a big waste of time but it's up to you and your budget of course!
Try loooking in the parts for sale section on here, you might find a bargain, there was a nice GT28rs the other weeks for a good price!

isn't a 4wd cossy turbo bordering on a stage3 in rs turbo talk? though a 2wd cossy turbo was essentially a stage 2??? i never know these F-ing stages lol

Rob,
all depends on the turbo centre as to what stage is what.
but typically a stage 3 t3 is a cossie 4wd comp wheel and housing(60trim) with a 0.48 exhaust housing and a 360degree bearing.
stage two is typically a 360 degree thrust bearing and a 2wd comp wheel and housing (55trim)
stage 1 is just a standard turbo with a 360 degree thrust bearing.

Got my stage 2 T3 from AET Turbos recently, its good for 250bhp if I can get the rest of the car to cope!

Don't bother with ebay its a false economy buying 2nd hand units.

thanks for all comments it's sad to say it's going to have to be second hand at these prices, im not in a very well payed job

is it JUST a stage 2 t3 i can use or is there a list of other units i could use?

from my other thread im told i should get roughly 160 175bhp of my spec and im trying to get to 200bhp hopfully lol.

if there are others, could you tell me to make my life easyer for when im looking of them, as i dont realy know much on turbo numbers and names, i am getting there slowly lol

thanks diesel

You can go bigger... Stage 3 T3, T34, T38, T4, but the bigger you go the more lag you'll get!

Without knowing your spec the folks on here can't be much more helpful. Sort the intercooler first bud and the rest of your engine if you need to i.e proper setup otherwise....boom!

If the turbo is usable and not that urgent you will get more power to begin with just by fitting a better front mount intercooler (and do it properly first time). Then save the pennies for the turbo.

well there are two exhaust housings .48 and standard .36 [.36 standard]
as for comp wheel you have to have a mesure up
the 360 bearing is in side and you would have to strip it to see that

as said above mate, CR Turbos. my stage 2 t3 was just under £500 delivered on an exchange basis. the service was exceptional and i'll definately be using them again when my new engine is put together this year.

regards

Tom
