this will be the 3rd head gasket i have had on it since august!! and im dam sure they are ment to last longer than that!

everytime the head has been skimmed and pressure tested!has anyone had blocks warp??

im getting a bit bored of it now! i havent even spun the turbo up this time since last time rebuilt it 3 weeks ago! and its done it again! i was about to head up to scotch corner

could really do with some positive advice not 'did you put the head on right way round etc etc'

i have replaced;
all gaskets on the head twice
thermostat
rad cap
water pump
hydraulic lifters
cam belt
fan switch
temp sensor

i was only at MD in feb for a full engine set up and it blew after i was there so i fixed it up and now its gone again! seriously bad times! : angry::a ngry:

might be a good idea to get the block re-faced. Pain in the ass but you have covered all other options. What h/gasket are you using?

If you're using a genuine ford one or payen and they keep going there's definately something wrong.....as said get the block tested for starters. I've never had a headgasket failiure in 6 years of owning mine and several different engine guises so i'd say (even though you don't want to hear it), you're either doing something wrong or you have a problem with the head/block as the gaskets are generally very reliable!

As said if your using Ford/Payen gasket and stock stretch bolts you should have no problems, unless your block is warped or your running lean? Even with a setup at MSD if your MFI then it could have easily drifted out!

Go over the the block and head faces with a flat edge and a set of feeler gagues. You need to check each square inch. So place the edge vertically and see if you can get a feeler gauge underneath at any point. Then move the edge an inch to the side and do the same until you have done it right across the head. Pay particular attention between the bores. Then do the same put with the edge horizontally.

Could well be a warped block but there are some simpler things to check first. What boost are you running and do you have a bigger intercooler fitted to cope? What are your air charge and coolant temps like? Have you checked to make sure the sensors are working ok? Also may seem silly but how full are you filling the coolant, if there is too much then you will over pressurise the cooling system.

everything isd standard on the car! no engine mods at all! got a stainless exahust thats it!

i am filling the coolant level to the max line no more!

the thing thats strange is that its not gassing up. its just dumping the coolant into the oil! is it possible that it is mixing in the turbo? with it been water cooled?

Would not think so unless its connected up wrong. However you may want to check you have the hoses at the back of the head to the oil sandwich plate (where the filter is) are the right way round otherwise you would be dumping oil in the water and water in the oil at the same time.

Other than that your block needs checked, decked etc.

oil coolers don't work like that, the water is contained in a jacket.
i've heard of one guy piping up the coolant pipes to the block breather before
took him a bit to realise why he had a problem.
i'd suggest what has already been suggested and check the block face as these can warp, uncommon, but possible.

edit to ask on the condition of the turbo, are the water cooling pipes connected (if it uses water cooling that is)?
if so, then block the pipes from cooling system and try running without them, they're not essential anyhow.
since it's just going into the sump,it sounds like the turbo core may have fractured letting water directly into the oil way in turbo and running into sump.
just a thought.
