Esc Valve is a 2port.
The port is connected to the airbox and as a result, simply turns the connection on or off and the flow is regulated by the frequency of the signal.

It should be retained at all costs unless you have a superchip or other poor chip that makes it click at idle through bad programming.

Comp housing is connected directly to actuator througha specially ported T piece.

This T connection goes to teh valve and then teh valve to atmosphere.
