Any news on direct/sequential ignition?
Coilpack (wasted spark) is a common conversion on the L8.
Ive not personally seen Coil on plug done as a conversion yet on a YB but I believe that RP labs have done so on lancias so it should be ok on a YB too.

Ok but rp lab is the whole package right whit a complete modifyed ecu etc and pretty expensive.I thought someone would have worked something out whit 4 sep coils by now to weber marelli, and advanced version of wasted spark.
The RP labs is a chopped up and altered L8.
The way that the MSD coilpack conversion works, could also be done for individual coils instead fairly easily, drop Flux Capacitor a PM to ask if he is developing anything for them along those lines as I dont know if they are or not.

I'm sure I recall Stu mentioning this as a potential development for 2010, defo read someone was doing it on here anyway. As chip has said, i imagine if it's available for Lancia (which utilises Weber Marelli management also) it should be adaptable to cossie.

If it wasnt for concerns over heat you could of course run it on the normal W/S setup MSD do, but that wasnt what I was suggesting, I was suggesting it should be possible to develop a similar setup but that uses 4 trigger wires not two and runs non wasted spark.
Not if the board handling it had 4 seperate outputs, although I suspect you would start running out of pins in the normal harness, so might need to be done externally.

Yes thats the problem. But to runt 4 coils now whit wasted spark u would need coils that support/need amps,u need 4 amps and all the wiring to them and the coils=not worth it i think and its still wasted spark.I would easily fit a trigger to my cam but as u say someone need to divide the ign signal from ecu to 4 and know when the ign secuence starts by a trigger or something so u cn get 1-4 cyl ign pulses.

Can't you just use vag coils? pretty shure they've got amps built in them. might be wrong though..

they have a system all ready to be fitted and tested on my car, very complicated system that i dont understand shit about but it involves a little cpu etc and a small casing to be used.
