Default My V8 Project

Hey people, just started doing my V8 3.5l Hill Climbing/Drag /Kit Car.

Twin webba and gonna get 4 barral carb VROOOOOOOOM

The engine was leaking alot so i took it out and had a proper look at what the problems where. Iv now replaced everything that was leaking and other bits.

Gonna make a start soon to put the engine all together again.

Had a lil accident yesterday check this out....
I was doing the fireing count because i didnt know what way u look at the engine. took the spark plugs out to make the rotation easier. Poked a WOODEN RODE down the spark hole to see what way the rods were goin (up or down) while it was coming up the dam Stick snapped got jammed under the cylinder head. NOT GOOD! Word of advice... when ur doing the fireing count...use Fairy Liquid. Bubbles are much better then wood dont u say

Anyways its all been sorted after 2hrs later. Had to replace the gaskit under the cylinder head they were new on there and all.

heres a pic what it looks like now.

Looks like a rover 3.5 = 215 ci to me although theres no difference between a 3.5 - 5 liter dimensionly, on the outside anyway.

wont be able to see if i had a supercharger. the v8 is goin in a sylva leader kit car. the whole car and engine weighs all under a tonn.

Trust me its gonna shift if i leave it as is! but still thinkin bout it. may change my mind when im driving it.
