Default mk6 pedals in a s2???

my clutch seems really low to the floor, when i rasie my foot off of it it clicks, if i have my foot on the brake pedal the sometimes the clutch wont engage properly,
is this cos my pedals are loose, someone mentioned to me about putting mk6 pedals in instead of the standard?? is this simple to do or do i have to modify them in any way?? has anyone done this??
cheers

i did this in my s2 when i fitted a ap paddle clutch, its a simple but affective mod, you need the mk6 peddle, quadrant although i think you can get metal ones now and the rubber for the peddle. Very tricky to fit though if i remember

You just need a new quadrant, the clicking sound you here is beacause it's plastic and the teeth chew or brake off and so is slipping a few teeth.
They are about £5 new, but awkward to fit! lol
Mk6 pedal can be fitted but no need unless your running a AP Racing clutch.

cheers for the replies, i'm gonna be after a new clutch over the next few months so might go down the ap route, and will look into the quadrant.

how does the manual adjust pedal differ from the standard gear?

I dont fancy the quadrant going cause its a pain in the arse to change especially if its only been done recently.

wont be doing mega miles so i would prefer to be able to adjust it every other month and know for sure that its going to be solid forever.

am i right in thinking it still uses the same design but instead of being spring loaded there is a bolt to adjust the quadrant?

in my experience its the pawl bit that ruins the teeth on the quadrant, are there any options which do away with this design?
