woman at currys said plasma is better for football but i hate footy so that not a problem but i thought the picture quality was better on lcd and i have a ps3
For 42" id go plasma and dont believe all the crap that plasmas dont last very long. The ones now will last 10 years no trouble.Oh and you cant beat Panasonic mate
This is an arguement that will go on for years until LED TV's become common place. My advice would be go around the shops, look at them all and buy the one you like. I have just bought a new TV and in the end the deal breaker for me was the best deal i could get.
Got a 42" Panasonic Plasma earlier in the year, very happy with it.
The best Plasma's are Pioneer apparently however cost a fortune, Panasonic are next best.
Was told by 'Sound and Vision' shop who sell quality stuff to not bother with Samsung.
i can actually get a 32 inch led tv for my budget so may look into that
and as for plasmas lasting a long time this worries me as my 21 inch plasma has packed up at 2 years old hence the new tv
Did you know although you have normally from the shop a 1 year warranty on your plasma, most manufacturers actually have a 3 year warranty but the shop don't tell you that. did they replace it or did you just buy a new one

Ditto bar who told me that.
Can't fault my 42" plasma Panasonic set. So pleased I'm considering a second for the bedroom when I get as far as decorating it
ive always heard panasonic were the best for middle of the road price ,
i heard pioneer is to stop making tvs,and sony are using samsung screens
cheers james
last i head pioneer weren't doing anymore plasma's not sure about LCD's but i know panasonic bought some of there technology.. i wouldn't worry to much about who uses what screen alot of of companys are using the same screens its what goes off inside the tv that matters and for now panasonic have it spot on
I have a 43 pioneer plasma I bought 3 years ago all I can say it is excellent when playing games and blu ray/ HD I did pay 1650 for it but the old saying you only get what you pay for is true . I am in the Market at moment for a 37/40 screen for bedroom and like the look of led or the panisonic range LCD ,a couple friends have samsung LCD screens but have had problems with lines appearing on screen so make sure u get a long 5 yr warranty .
