My friend and i are looking to to put an R1 engine in our mk2 fiesta. Similar project to the zcars mini conversion. Has anyone ever tried this?

Not seen one in a fiesta tbh but i know you'll need to get the weight down a LOT if you want it to be quick. Those bike engined cars struggle as they haven't got much torque but as long as they're properly light they go well and sound the nuts

Default Bike engined fiesta

A friend of mine (Rwd Lynch) has built a couple now.
His current one (A mk1 fiesta Zcar style) is a stunner and will be in next months Performance Ford magazine so look out for it

Autograss racers have been doing them for years, they tend to do twin engined tho. Their was a Mk3 fiesta with a single CBR1000 engine but spaceframed (simular to what ag has done ie rollcage then bodywork over) Was a quick car for that class racing, as a road car? Iwouldn't think it would be a "Fast" fiesta imo.
