Fuel prices...again...
Thieving cunts have been bumping them up slowly slowly and either people aren't bothered any more or haven't noticed or what but 109 for unleaded and 116 for v-power...what the fuck is going on. About a month or so ago I was paying 107-108 for v-power

I do 50K miles a year, so fuel economy is the only thing I really care about on a daily driver, no point having a quick car to sit in traffic, so I just drive my more interesting cars at the weekend for fun rather than for commuting etc.

Im only paying $1.05 for petrol at the moment. I have never understood why fuel is cheaper here when the dollar is worth less than the pound. TAX as usual i guess
Did have a diesel but now I have an LPG daily driver, 51p a litre

Whats the deal with lpg as ive heard mixed opinion's would you says an engine will be as reliable running lpg as it would be petrol ?
Ive had a few LPG cars now and never had a problem, or heard of anyone having problems.
johnny bravo on here would be the one to ask though, he used to have a lot to do with LPG cars
I think if anything they are more reliable than petrol in terms of the engine, as its so much purer a fuel.
Of course petrols expensive, there's a recession on at the moment.
One of the easiest ways to help drag us out of recession would be to lop 20p a litre off fuel, would help people spend more, go out a bit more, but nooooooo, we've got trillions and trillions of debt thanks to our wonderful "bankers" to pay off first.

My old mondeo did about 80K miles on LPG without too much drama, did have a head gasket go (engine was on about 150K by then anyway though) but I dont think that was anything to do with the LPG.

Oh cool thats gd to know , May look into something lpg powered for a daily hack in the nr future ....
I think the only way a protest could work is if it was fronted buy some one famous.
Someone say like Jeremy clarkson or what ever. Some like that is the only one with the power in terms of getting media coverage, and also the power in terms of everyone "believeing" in it.
I dont mind paying for fuel as such. Its the bastards in the goverment charging us tax on it. I dont know what it is but its something stupid like 70% tax we pay on fuel.
Makes the £300 odd quid to 12 months road tax sound cheap really!

I don't see the problem with petrol prices at the moment - they are still between 10 and 20pence/litre cheaper than last July. I paid 129.9per/litre last July for petrol so 106.9 isn't too bad in comparison.
If I remember correctly there is around 78% duty on fuel.
It is a joke, but as pointed out in Men in Black, a person may be intelligent, but PEOPLE are stupid. Hence, we'll keep paying it!

Not so easy anymore, the government has different powers these days I believe, I think they have managed to word things in such a way that attempting to stop the distribution of fuel is classed as a terrorist act, and effectively anything that classes as "terrorist" in the current regime means that they can do what the fuck they want to you.

How many truckers will blockade knowing they will loose both thier jobs and risk lengthy time in prison??? none, they as individuals just cant afford to.
The fuel situation has been engineered such that we have to pay up or shut up.
Guess its what happens when you head towards being a police state!!
And lets be brutally honest, the government just doesnt give a fuck about anyone who drives. Not only are we easy targets but they are also morally justified in any price hikes/raping drivers for more money etc on simple grounds of CO2 emissions and environment. Its thier simple excuse to get away with it when in reality its mostly the tax income they want rather than environment being the key motivator.
Its just one of those things you've gotta put up with unfortunately. Its never gonna be under a quid a litre again
That said, its not bad value really, a 500ml bottle of coke is about £1.50
now THATS a rip off considering petrol has to be pulled out of the ground, transported, refined etc
