Default Turbos keep dying on me HELP!!!

Starting to get really angry now! i bought my FRST about 2 or 3 months ago now, with the oil seal in the turbo gone,
NOW i had a receipt for the knackered turbo saying it had been exchanged for a hybrid unit 5 years ago, which the compaany told me was more than good innings for a fiesta.
So i bought a exchange unit from the same company again, built to the same spec, which was fine, no smoke on start up or at all
Untill one night when i was playing with my mate the bleed valve screw fell out and i gather made the turbo shat itself
so i had another one sent out which smoked from the moment it was put on it smoked whilst driving/ altho it cleared abit the more i drove it, i just thought it was oil in the exhaust that needed to be cleared out

So it got better and better apart from when u let off to stop at a junction and the car would bellow smoke
so anyways i started the car this morning and it is bellowing smoke like it did when i first got the car which must be the seals

can anyone point me too what can cause the turbos to fuck up?!
i can send it back as i have a years warrantee, but they wiggled there way out last time saying it was an oil feed problem but they said they would pay for the labour if i payed for the parts (which cost me £150 to correct) and says to me they saw something was wrong with the work they done?

i have had all the oil feeds/pressure checked and they are all fine

1. i have put fresh oil in
2. it holds 60bar cold which drops to 20-30 when hot
3.the car is set to 0.6bar
4. and as u can tell i have been very cautious and kept my eye on the boost gauge at all times!!
Any help appreciated as i am starting to loose faith

FRST T2 Smoking/burning oil = very common

It's not the turbo, its the breather system, it needs vacuum on it at idle, check/replace your breather and see if that helps.

As above check your breather system. Also your intercooler could still have oil in it

Unhappy

Bought my 5th Turbo from Turbo Technics (NEW) and it went bang on the Motorway a couple of weeks ago doing about 90mph ... its only been on the car 2 and a bit years JUST OUT OF WARRANTY and the car has done less than 5000 miles in this time... So I dont really know what to do........ Some of you may know of me, I live in Belgium and took my Car to Stu and Kenny in a very sad state, not having run for years after having turbo #4 letting rip on the Severn Bridge chasing an Aston... must have pissed him self laughing when he saw all the smoke...Stu and Kenny did miracles with it... The thread is well worth a read ..( https://passionford.com/forum/genera...and-kenny.html ) ......So why cant I buy a Turbo that will last and handle what I ask from it.... I took my car to the BEST in the country.. MSD but at a GRAND + a go for a new one, it all adds up....... Please everyone ....Your thoughts on this...It HAS to be sorted, had the car since 87/88 now...Its just driving my POTTY as everyone says they have wonderful products and...........Had enough now..HELP

i havent changed the oil feed, but when the turbo packed up last time it was coming out of the breather, it was in the bottom of the intercooler, and dripping out of the exhaust, so i assume it has a good feed judging by how much was everywhere....

Don't TT say that you must have a modified oil return for their hybrid? High pressure on the oil return could make it smoke, but as has been said already check the breather system.

yea i got both mine redone at cr turbo's and they were spot on i think its ur breather i had to buy a meo valve from alan jefferys to stop mine from smoking took me a while to work it out though the meo valve goes on ur breather but it creates a draw in thesump to bring the oil from the turbo's mine was exact same everytime i was letting off the throttle the oil was not traveling back to the sump as soon as i put that valve on cleared up straight away
hope this helps

T2's are also known to suffer with bearing failure as a result of lack of back-pressure. Fiesta's always used to shit turbo's almost immediately after fitting a free-flowing Stainless exhaust.

Mio filters were fitted as standard on the Sierra TT's back in the day or else it all went a bit smoky joe
Definetly check the breather set-up.

No, cos the oil still gets drawn into the exhaust as the breather has no vacuum on it.

As said, Meo filters are the things to fit! £50 ish from ford, fitted to cossies.
