opening a bonnet on a 2001 transit with no key
my lock is fooked to open my bonnet on my transit as you have to put them in the grill on this model.
how can i get the bonnet open??
even partialy drilled it with no luck

ive dun a focous at work with the same sort of set up as long as its cold you can pull the frount bit of the under tray off and get your arm up there i had to pull the rad down a bit as well

make sure the grill is not interfering with the key, you can just pull this off if it is in the way

i done mine mate ,you cant get your hand up [well i couldnt] so drilled it out then opened it with a screwdriver

left to unlock (pop) then right to open

can you get it to pop? if so you should be able to get a ratchet spanner in there to undo the 2 bolts that hold the stricker to the bonnet.

C4 opens them, or a blowtorch, failing that just tell some pikeys there's some copper under the bonnet!!

What type of key will open any lock........

In that case Stu you will probably have to try to unbolt the 8mm's on the latch and use some long nose pliers to twist it open! pop the grill out too mate.
