Default Life Expectancy of an after market Intercooler

Guys

What would you say is the life expectancy of an after market 500 cooler ?

The one on my 3 door is looking furrier than your grannies top lip and some of the fins are looking worse for wear.

I guess being at the front of a car being exposed to the elements cant be good for it, but I dont think the genuine 500 coolers suffer like this.

Dont fancy having to shell out another £400 after only 5 years.

All down to mileage really, if on a bufty car most likely outlast the car, but one that is being used will suffer much more quickly, I do at least 18,000-20,000 miles a year and would expect at least 10 years.
If the fins become all squashed they can be straightened with a fin rake, pressure washers are ace for flattening the fins.

Well I do use the car... but then it is a car and not an ornament.

Just having a look earlier and its like the fins are starting to rot.

Oh well, back to a 4x4 Intercooler I think.
