just sorting a engine off of pete with a t3 on it and am going to run it in stage 3 with the standard t3 what the most boost would it be safe with and are the fairly low lag and nicer to drive than a t34 car

go for a t34.48 minimum

but if you want to stick with a t3, then you dont want to go beyond 26psi peak and 22psi held, unless you like changing turbo's

a t34 is proper stage 3, t34.48 is good turbo for the road, but any bigger exhaust housing than than then your injectors will be the limiting factor if you want to get the most of the turbo

a brilliant all round road engine is, 500 cooler, t34.55 or .63, siemens 55lbs with a chip to suit. i ran t34.55, siemens 55lbs, 500 cooler, msd chip. peak 30 psi, held 27ish, awesome for the road (365hp ish)

edit: if this is going into a 4x4 car with standard MT75 box, then i wouldnt go beyond 350/350 for the sake of the box

Didn,t Twellsies make 326bhp with similar torque on Martin,s Rollers using the NMS Gunship?? i think also this was @ 26psi and he,d had it for near on 3yrs i think....so there are exceptions..Lol..

3 years on most cossies is about 20 miles tho

we do a range of chips with a big spike in boost also

my 2wd was running 327bhp that was stage 3 set up with a standard t3 turbo. it has lasted 40,000 miles before the turbo let go

i suppose you get lucky sometimes, i did 70k miles in 3 years on my t34 at 36psi, and it was fine even though on paper it should have shit itself after 5 miles lol

i wouldnt say lucky as i have only done around 2000 miles of the 40,000 before it shit itself
so im now saving for a t34
and once its fitted will head over your way for a propper set up
