Kinda agree with Chris tbh, mine now is pampered to death, ok it,s not concours BUT there,s NO rust anywhere and the underside is fantastic. BUT, i,ve be driving it more recently Ford Fair etc and i personally think they WORK/GO better when driven regualry than standing most of the year apart from coming out for shows.
Anyway fella, it,s your choice and you,ve got yourself a very clean car there so all the best in whatever you decide.

thanks for wot you are saying lads. but wot i wont to do is drive the car to a show ..show the car of.. then drive the car home and get it recognised for wot has been done to this car as last week we spent a lot of time getting the car mint . and then going down to silverstone with a club to end up driving over a gravel car park not wonce but two times then we were parked out of the way which did my head in . so as we were going round i had a chat to a lad with a saff and he had drove down that day in the car and was going to be driving the car home after the show. SO any help form the lads that do this would be great
There is different classes of concourse, like working class, novice etc, there is different rules on the classes, dont know how you would stand on it being a motorsport shell tho. If its what you want to do, enquire about it and see how it goes.

no i dont think you shud enter it for concours, i think you should give it to me so i can!!! that is mint and would do well in concours if the correct detail was given!
I looked at entering my old S1 in to concours but after looking at the classes and what other models you would be up against it was a complete piss take, i think at the time due to the car being modified because original parts can no longer be sourced (exhaust) i would have been up against modified cars like FRS, Escos which you can't compete with as their OE parts are still widely available so this is what put me off and i sold the car after 20 miles of use.
To go into a competition to come say last against newer models would be too disheartening after all the hard work that has gone into it.
Just my opinion
Excuse to dig pictures of the old S1 out

But as for your car mate yes it's deffo good enough to enter.

hi the poss answer to your question about reshelling a car i think it depend,s on the chassis no,if it is a genuine 3door.the rsoc barred my esc cossie from the club as it was a motorsport shell with diff no to esc cossie chass no
I personally think all cars should be shown etc on their own merits, after all we are all interested in the same thing,,,,Ford cars and their heritage.
Why not have a section where reshelled / motorsport cars can be judged too.
You can only admire (or sympathise lol) with the dedication involved.

The motorsport shell may be an issue, does the car not need an RS ID to enter?
Aside from that i'd honestly not bother with concourse mate, its soul destroying and your car becomes a garage ornament!
